Job summary

Colwen Hotels is seeking an Executive Meeting Manager at the Portland Harbor Hotel/Portland, ME to oversee planning and execution of meetings and events. You will partner with hotel operations and clients, manage contracts, and coordinate food, beverage, décor, AV, and vendors to meet clients' vision.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in sales and catering for social and corporate events, hotel experience preferred, and strong leadership with solid computer skills (Delphi).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and catering experience with a strong emphasis on social events.
• Proven track record in social and corporate catering.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Delphi systems).
• Familiar with common computer software programs.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with hotel operations teams and clients to ensure perfect execution of meetings and events.
• Manage event booking processes, assess client needs, and coordinate food & beverage, décor, AV, and vendor options.
• Serve as the main client contact and oversee events through execution.
• Supervise banquet events and monitor service quality.
• Cultivate client relationships to generate business and drive sales.
