Job summary

Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA) is seeking a Managing Director, Private Placements to lead the construction of a private placement corporate credit portfolio and execute private trades within established guidelines.

You will collaborate with senior team members to source, underwrite, and monitor opportunities, applying rigorous credit analysis, due diligence, and legal coordination to support growth and risk management across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• CFA Charter Holder required.
• 10+ years of investment-related experience with at least 3 years in institutional private placement.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction of a private placement credit portfolio and execute private trades.
• Demonstrate expertise in fundamental credit analysis, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation.
• Collaborate with portfolio management, credit analysts, and operations to enable deal analysis and portfolio reporting.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior credit/investment team members.
• Conduct relative value analysis at issuer and industry levels to select bonds for the portfolio.
• Produce high quality written reports outlining credit strengths and risks.
• Source data on issuers and industries and prepare inquiries for rating agencies, management, and others.
