Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Vice President of Quality, Safety & Patient Experience to lead an integrated strategy across the system, advancing clinical quality, safety, equity, regulatory readiness, and patient/family experience.

The role provides executive leadership to multiple departments, aligns system goals with hospital units, and promotes transparency and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field; master’s preferred.
• CPHQ or Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of progressive healthcare quality leadership experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and system-level change in a multi-hospital or academic health system.
• Strong knowledge of quality, safety, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of unified quality, safety, and patient experience strategy.
• Oversee system quality governance, performance reviews, and board reporting.
• Ensure department staffing and cross-unit integration across continuum of care.
• Partner with nursing, medical staff, infection prevention, risk management, and operations.
• Foster a culture of safety, equity, and patient/family partnership.
