Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks an accomplished executive to lead the Quality Institute, shaping enterprise quality, patient safety, and performance excellence across the Presbyterian Delivery System. The VP will drive strategic priorities, governance, and high-reliability operations to achieve top-decile outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or related field.
• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, DrPH, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in quality, patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory affairs, accreditation, or related functions.
• Minimum 8 years of executive or senior leadership experience leading large, complex healthcare organizations or systems.
• Proven experience driving enterprise quality, patient safety, and operational transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with governing boards, executive teams, physician leadership, and regulatory agencies.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or CPPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise quality, safety, and performance excellence strategy with governance structures.
• Lead High Reliability and Safety Culture initiatives and Just Culture.
• Establish systems that drive clinical quality, patient safety, and outcome improvement.
• Provide executive oversight for accreditation, regulatory compliance, and risk readiness.
• Oversee performance improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and systems thinking.
• Ensure measurement, analytics, transparency, and benchmarking across the organization.
