Job summary

Waters Construction is seeking an experienced executive to lead the Heavy Civil Division from its Bridgeport, CT operation. The Vice President will shape strategy, oversee the division’s financial performance, and drive safe, profitable growth across highways, bridges, and public infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the President, the VP will mentor an on-site Director of Operations and collaborate with Work Acquisition, Paving, Equipment, Safety, Finance, and HR to align resources with

Qualifications

• Significant progressive leadership experience in heavy civil, highway, bridge, utility, or public infrastructure construction.
• Experience leading project managers, superintendents, and operational leaders.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost control, change orders, claims, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate the strategic direction of the Heavy Civil Division.
• Lead and develop the division's leaders and ensure accountability for results.
• Maintain revenue, gross profit, and cash flow; monitor annual goals.
• Oversee project forecasts, cost-to-complete, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with executive team on company-wide strategic initiatives.
