Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Vice President of Gaming Operations in New Kent, VA. This executive will own revenue, EBITDA targets, and strategic direction for Virginia casino properties, overseeing product, marketing, operations, and guest experiences.

The role requires 15+ years in gaming, a bachelor's degree, and the ability to obtain relevant gaming licenses. Expect travel across CDI properties, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and driving profitability through best

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum 15 years in the gaming industry, leading teams and managing gaming/casino operations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming/racing license where applicable.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Partner with property leadership to maximize profitability and deliver standards, labor efficiencies, and governance.
• Provide strategic insights on trends, product categories, and consumer insights to drive a strategic agenda.
• Ensure execution of annual business, capital plans, and P&L accountability for assigned regions.
• Monitor gaming position, competitor movements, customer trends, and adjust plans to meet objectives.
• Review casino data and financial reports for variations and revenue performance across gaming areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory controls and relevant laws and regulations.
• Lead relationships with licensing and technical suppliers to meet dates and standards.
• Develop and implement marketing acquisition/retention strategies for growth and profitability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, etc., to align objectives.
• Hire, develop, and retain leadership across properties; travel to CDI properties as needed.
