Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent, VA, seeks a Senior Director of Human Resources to lead HR strategy and operations for its gaming properties. You will advise leaders on recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, and development, balancing employee advocacy with business needs.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and practical HR expertise across multiple locations, with data-driven decision making and collaboration with CDI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is a plus.
• Experience in casino/entertainment/hospitality HR preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain gaming/racing licenses, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals across gaming properties.
• Advise leaders on organizational design and workforce planning.
• Lead talent management, succession planning, and development.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and HR programs.
• Collaborate with CDI Corporate HR to share best practices and policies.
• Oversee HRIS data reporting and analytics.
