Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Virginia is seeking a Senior Director of Compliance to provide strategic leadership and enterprise oversight for compliance across eight gaming properties. You will develop and execute a comprehensive framework, partner with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and regulators, and guide anti-money laundering, responsible gaming, and licensing programs.

The role requires building enterprise-wide monitoring, leading exams and audits, and ensuring regulatory excellence

Qualifications

Knowledge of federal, state, and local gaming laws and regulatory frameworks.
Experience with BSA/AML, OFAC, and financial crime prevention.
Strong internal controls, risk management, and governance understanding.
Excellent communication with executives, regulators, auditors, and boards.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Virginia gaming compliance across eight properties.
Develop and enhance enterprise-wide compliance programs, governance, and internal controls.
Lead Virginia properties as the primary compliance advisor to property leadership and regulators.
Drive a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory excellence.
Oversee BSA/AML programs, including SARs, CTRs, and reporting to regulators.
Coordinate examinations, audits, investigations, and licensing matters; resolve findings.
