Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Large Casualty Underwriter to join our Dallas/Addison team. The role focuses on evaluating, pricing, and negotiating complex large-scale commercial risks while cultivating broker and client relationships.

The position may be filled at Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director level, with the hiring manager assigning level based on experience and credentials. Hybrid work is available alongside strong compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR 10+ years in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3+ years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR 8+ years in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business.
• Market facing and production within the Large Casualty, National Accounts division.
• Administering underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and rating manual rules.
• Developing and maintaining broker relationships in the South Region.
• Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
