Job summary

Zurich North America in Atlanta (or Dallas) is seeking an experienced Large Casualty Underwriter to join the National Account, Large Casualty Team. The role involves underwriting, pricing and negotiating complex risks and managing broker/client relationships.

The role can be filled as Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director depending on experience. Travel to client meetings may be required; strong knowledge of MS Office and regulatory guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of underwriting or market facing experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ years of Claims or Underwriting Support experience.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years of underwriting or market facing experience.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 8+ years of Claims or Underwriting Support experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience meeting quotes deadlines for new and renewal business.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business
• Market facing and production within the Large Casualty, National Accounts division
• Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules
• Developing and maintaining broker relationships in the South Region
• Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments
