JOEY Restaurants in San Diego seeks a Head Chef to lead the kitchen, drive culinary excellence, and mentor a high-performing team. You will manage labor budgets, maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, and ensure the delivery of iconic hospitality and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations to deliver our menu with consistency and quality.
• Coach and mentor team; recruit, train, and retain staff.
• Manage labor budgets, food costs, and in-store budgets.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and prep areas.
• Provide daily feedback to partners and uphold iconic hospitality standards.
