Job summary

Summit Staffing Partners is seeking an personable IT Support Engineer for a hybrid role in New York, supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, and executive devices. You will handle on-site and remote requests, manage accounts, and maintain AV and conference room tech.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years with IT support, strong troubleshooting, and a service-oriented mindset. Bachelor’s degree required; family office or professional services exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and common desktop hardware.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and basic user account administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• A professional, service-oriented approach and discretion with confidential information.
• A positive attitude, receptiveness to feedback, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to prioritize requests, work independently, and collaborate with teammates.
• Bachelor’s degree required; IT or a related field preferred.
• Family office, investment firm, law firm, or professional services experience preferred; other backgrounds will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve requests.
• Handle basic Active Directory tasks, including password resets and account access troubleshooting.
• Set up and maintain computers, monitors, docking stations, printers, and conference room audiovisual equipment.
• Assist with iPhone issues, including email access and basic device troubleshooting.
• Deliver attentive, professional support to executives, including occasional assistance in residential settings.
• Assist with software installations, updates, equipment replacements, and employee technology setup.
• Maintain support tickets, troubleshooting documentation, and equipment inventory.
• Escalate complex issues and security concerns, and assist with urgent after-hours support as needed.
