Job summary

The City of New York seeks an experienced Administrative Staff Analyst in the NYPD Information Technology Bureau to lead fiscal affairs, budgeting, procurement, and financial governance for technology investments. This role directs multi-year capital projects, ensures compliance with procurement laws, and partners with executive leadership to align funding with departmental modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital planning, grant management, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in economics, finance, accounting, public administration or related field.
• 18+ months in executive/managerial capacity within budget, procurement or fiscal management.
• Strong knowledge of NYC budget processes, procurement rules and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for Fiscal Affairs operations including budgets, procurement, and financial controls.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for the Bureau.
• Negotiate New Needs submissions, baseline funding, and grant opportunities.
• Represent the Bureau before OMB, DCAS, Comptroller, and oversight agencies on budget matters.
