Job summary

Abacus Solutions is seeking an Executive Communications Specialist to join our team at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The role provides technical support for hardware, systems, and applications as the primary service technician on-site.

You will train end users, manage mobile devices, provision accounts, and troubleshoot secure voice, data, and video infrastructure. The position requires 5–10+ years of experience, US citizenship, and a DoD Secret clearance; a DoD 8570 Level II certification

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of comparable technical support experience.
• Experience supporting high ranking or VIP clients.
• Experience with Mac iOS systems.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, networks, TCP/IP, Cisco, VPN, MS Telephony, MS Office 365, antivirus.
• Experience data migration to new machines.
• Experience installing, terminating, testing cables.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• US Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• DoD 8570 Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and desk-side support to implement new capabilities and troubleshoot servers and peripherals.
• Field questions about installation, operation, configuration, and usage of products; diagnose causes and recommend solutions.
• Organize and catalog printers; assist with lifecycle replacements.
• Train end users in use of equipment and software.
• Maintain telecommunications protocols and manage user accounts.
• Provision and maintain mobile devices and radios.
• Terminate, test and troubleshoot voice, video, data infrastructure.
• Install new hardware and maintain existing hardware.
• Apply government-approved OS updates and patches.
• Load client software on end-user devices to access services.
• Respond to Classified Message Incidents and follow escalation matrix.
• Document maintenance actions in the ITSM system.
