Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a Principal, HR Business Partner for the Product and Technology organization. This strategic individual contributor will shape talent strategy, coach senior leaders, and lead complex organizational design and cross‑functional HR initiatives across a global scope.

The role requires 12+ years of HR experience, with at least 6 years in a strategic HRBP capacity supporting executives, and a strong track record of influencing C‑level stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience supporting senior executive leaders
• Experience influencing C‑level executives
• Ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives without direct authority
• Strong business and financial acumen with strategic talent planning
• Demonstrated curiosity and adoption of AI in HR work

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy for Product and Technology leaders.
• Act as chief consultant on complex organizational design and large transformations.
• Own end‑to‑end talent strategy, including executive succession planning.
• Coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness and organizational dynamics.
• Drive high‑impact cross‑functional HR initiatives from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with a global team of HR partners (EMEA & APJ).
