BlackLine is seeking a Principal, HR Business Partner for the Product and Technology organization. This strategic individual contributor will shape talent strategy, coach senior leaders, and lead complex organizational design and cross‑functional HR initiatives across a global scope.
The role requires 12+ years of HR experience, with at least 6 years in a strategic HRBP capacity supporting executives, and a strong track record of influencing C‑level stakeholders.
The Principal, HR Business Partner for the Product and Technology organization acts as a strategic HR advisor to the leadership team. In this individual contributor role, you will leverage deep subject matter expertise to lead the creation, design, and implementation of innovative people strategies that foster a culture of high performance and drive our most critical business objectives. You will be a key influencer, shaping the talent agenda and acting as a coach to senior leaders.

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant’s prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.
In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short‑term and long‑term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On‑Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model – for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
