Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for a hands-on, business-minded role in a 24/7 unionized manufacturing environment. You will partner with the CEO, Plant Manager, and senior leadership to influence people strategy, culture, and operations.

The position requires 10+ years in HR with at least 3 years in HR management, plus experience in a unionized setting and strong regulatory knowledge. A Bachelor’s degree in HR is required, with PHR/SPHR pluses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR management role.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, including CBA administration and labor negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state employment regulations (NLRB, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Excellent communication, coaching, listening, presentation, policy-writing, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an interest in improving HR systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic member of the executive leadership and production planning teams, aligning business objectives with workforce needs.
• Partner with plant leadership to build productive labor-management relationships and support CBA administration.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession initiatives.
• Oversee the full employee benefits portfolio, including healthcare, COBRA, EAP, retirement, disability, life/AD&D, workers' comp, FMLA, and paid time off.
