Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a seasoned Housekeeping Manager to lead the guest room and public area cleaning standards at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort. You will supervise staff, schedule shifts, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality across properties.

This role requires 5+ years of housekeeping leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with other departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience, including housekeeping leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of housekeeping operations; multiple brands preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with other department leaders and report to a Director.
• Strong conflict resolution and guest service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor staff workload to maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Oversee pool operations and overnight floor care when applicable.
• Manage the housekeeping budget within Director of Services guidelines.
• Conduct periodic inventory of guest supplies and equipment.
• Use labor management tools to schedule and control costs and adjust staffing.
• Hire, train, develop, evaluate, and discipline housekeeping staff as needed.
• Monitor guest service scores and address issues to maintain satisfaction.
• Assist in evaluating furniture and decor, and support preventive maintenance.
• Perform hands-on housekeeping duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and OSHA guidelines.
• Report performance and staffing to Director of Services.
• Attend and be available on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
