Job summary

Brandt Hospitality Group in Rhode Island is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public spaces, and on-site laundry. You will supervise staff, ensure cleanliness standards, manage inventory, and coordinate with engineering to safeguard hotel assets.

Ideal candidates will have hotel housekeeping experience, strong leadership, and budgeting skills, with English proficiency and the ability to train and mentor team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend English; multilingual ability helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department and onsite laundry facility including scheduling.
• Educate and train all employees in compliance with hotel standards; ensure staff have tools and equipment.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.
• Issue daily assignments to all housekeepers and laundry attendants.
• Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, elevator foyer, vending area and storage areas.
• Implement and maintain ongoing general cleaning programs.
• Manage and track inventory and order supplies on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Conduct monthly department meetings with housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate maintenance issues with engineering to protect hotel assets and ensure safety.
• Assist in resolving guest complaints regarding service and/or room cleanliness.
• Monitor monthly budget and communicate with Executive Housekeeper on staffing needs.
