Job summary

Newport Hospitality Group seeks an Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations across two hotels, ensuring guestrooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and ready to welcome guests.

You will lead and develop housekeeping teams, manage staffing and departmental expenses, and work closely with hotel leadership to maintain brand standards and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role that may support Front Desk during busy periods.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of housekeeping experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Multi-property hotel housekeeping leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage staffing, schedules, productivity, and departmental expenses.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Familiarity with hotel brand standards, guestroom inspections, and housekeeping procedures.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee guestroom cleaning, public areas, laundry operations across both properties.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop housekeeping associates.
• Conduct inspections and ensure brand standards and guest satisfaction.
• Manage staffing levels, productivity, expenses, and supply costs.
• Maintain linen, amenities, cleaning products, and equipment inventories.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance and leadership on room availability.
• Ensure safe chemical handling and sanitation practices.
