Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public spaces and laundry. Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in Supervisor or Manager role.
• Previous experience in a hotel preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to apply basic principles and techniques of supervision.
• Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
• Ability to get ideas accepted and to guide a group or individual to accomplish a task.
• Ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goal.
• Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
• Ability to effectively handle conflict in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and quality standards for guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting areas.
• Direct housekeeping operations including budgeting, scheduling, inventory, and policy enforcement.
• Coach and supervise team performance; provide development, scheduling, and recognition.
• Recruit, interview and train team members.
• Oversee Laundry operations and coordinate with maintenance for equipment upkeep.
• Ensure proper inventory of supplies and safe chemical handling.
• Collaborate with Front Office to ensure guest room satisfaction.
• Prepare and post weekly housekeeping and laundry schedules.
• Maintain security: log Lost and Found items and secure storage areas.
