Executive Housekeeper

Holiday Inn Express – Lincoln Airport
Salary: $38,000–$42,000 per year, depending on experience

Position Summary

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of guest rooms and public areas while ensuring the hotel consistently meets Holiday Inn Express and IHG brand standards.

This position is a hands-on leadership role. The Executive Housekeeper will oversee daily housekeeping operations while also working alongside the housekeeping team to ensure rooms and common areas are properly cleaned, inspected, and ready for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
• Perform stayover room service and assist with cleaning guest rooms as needed.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards.
• Inspect hallways, public areas, and other common areas for cleanliness and proper appearance.
• Identify maintenance issues, damaged items, or other room deficiencies and communicate them to the appropriate department.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and ready for arrival.
• Assist with laundry operations as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and communicate supply needs to management.
• Help train, coach, and support housekeeping team members.
• Maintain appropriate housekeeping standards and productivity expectations.
• Assist with scheduling and daily assignment of housekeeping staff as needed.
• Respond to guest concerns regarding housekeeping and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping procedures comply with Holiday Inn Express and IHG brand standards.
• Complete all required IHG brand training within the first 90 days of employment.
• Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
• Previous housekeeping supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to inspect rooms and identify areas requiring additional cleaning or attention.
• Ability to work effectively with and lead a housekeeping team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also working as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.
• Must be willing and able to perform hands‑on housekeeping duties when needed.
