Job summary

Truist is seeking an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager to design, develop, and implement ERM programs in partnership with the ERM Leadership team. You will support leadership in planning and executing ERM initiatives across Risk Management Organization, business units, and control functions.

The role acts as an advisor to leadership, preparing meeting materials for internal stakeholders and regulators, coordinating with BURMs, BUCROs, and Program Owners, and leading a team to drive

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broad and in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and other related disciplines.
• Knowledge of the external environment, including Truist's competition, regulatory requirements and trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences.
• Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving unique and highly complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
• Ability to lead and manage performance of a team or multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Drives critical elements of the design, development, implementation, and oversight of an assigned ERM Program in partnership with ERM Risk Program Owner and ERM Leadership team.
• Supports and facilitates assigned ERM Program policy and procedure documentation, training, communication, and oversight activities across the enterprise.
• Leads key components of the design and delivery of Quality Assurance related to assigned ERM Program, including testing strategy, outputs, and reporting for management and/or board level committees.
• Coordinates with BURMs, BUCROs and Risk Program Owners to ensure ERM Program requirements are understood and executed.
• Leads a team to execute multiple key strategic initiatives related to assigned ERM Program.
• Supports components of ERM Program presentation materials for internal stakeholders and regulators, including preparation for ERM Leadership team.
• Communicates regularly and escalates risks associated with ERM Program execution to the ERM Leadership team and Chief ERM Officer.
