Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking an Engineering Advisor to provide executive-level technical guidance across transmission and substation projects. This enterprise role influences strategy, governance, and technical direction without direct management.

You will lead standards enforcement, risk mitigation, and advisory support across large programs, collaborating with executives and cross-functional leaders to align engineering with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in electric utility or infrastructure engineering.
• Extensive experience supporting transmission and substation engineering programs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making through sound technical judgment.
• Proven experience advising senior leaders on complex, high-risk technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Act as executive technical advisor for transmission and substation activities.
• Provide guidance on engineering governance, standards, and risk management.
• Participate in enterprise design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.
• Support change management, claims, and technical dispute resolution across major programs.
