Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Director of Engineering for Substation, to lead planning, design, and execution of transmission and substation projects. You will manage engineers, ensure safety and quality, and drive innovation aligned with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university; P.E. license required.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise across structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering; deep understanding of utility practices.
• Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, NESC, ASTM, ACI, AISC and related standards.
• Excellent business acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of transmission and substation projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource plans, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in the design and optimization of transmission and substation systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, and integrate best practices into the engineering processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all engineering activities.
• Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plans and objectives in transmission and substation infrastructure.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and technologies to enhance the company's position.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to align engineering with broader goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, regulators, contractors, and suppliers.
• Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and regulatory meetings.
