Job summary

Harvard Kennedy School is seeking a Program Director to join Executive Education. You will manage a portfolio of 6-8 programs, coordinate faculty effort, ensure participant satisfaction, and oversee staff, reporting, and budgets to deliver programs with excellence.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in program management, strong customer service, and project management skills. Some travel and in-person work on campus in Cambridge are required, with remote work

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Project management experience.
• Demonstrated success in launching, implementing, or improving systems or standard operating procedures.
• Strong team-builder with ability to lead across a diverse organization.
• Strong collaboration across faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Experience with Salesforce and Zoom is a plus.
• Experience with Harvard financial systems and processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a delivery team in 6-8 new and existing programs, ensuring planning and execution to high standards.
• Direct program operations, including logistics, faculty relationships, curriculum management, and coordination with custom clients.
• Collaborate with faculty chair and EE staff on program content and TA hiring guidelines.
• Negotiate with external vendors and sign contracts for offsite events.
• Oversee admission decisions, enrollment, and fellowship/tuition assistance for programs.
• Review program evaluations and implement improvements for future offerings.
• Exercise financial management and reporting, including budgeting and PRO processing.
• Manage staff and mentor junior colleagues to maintain high professional standards.
