Deloitte Insights in the United States seeks an executive editor to lead content quality, storytelling, and editorial operations across digital formats. The role partners with the global editor in chief to shape thought leadership, oversee editors, researchers, and designers, and drive audience impact.

The ideal candidate has deep journalistic experience, mastery of AP style, and strong leadership to coach editors, manage complex projects, and champion responsible use of AI in publishing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business journalism editing or business insights/editing.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or similar.
• Exceptional editing skills, mastery of AP style, and ability to explain edits to authors.
• Excellent writing and oral communication; translate complex concepts for executive audiences.
• Attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
• Outside-in orientation toward audience needs.
• Versatile writing, editing, storytelling across formats.
• Extensive team leadership and performance management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with senior leaders.
• Ability to travel 0–15%.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own content quality standards for Deloitte Insights content across formats.
• Train, oversee, and performance-manage editors on quality standards.
• Champion audience and storytelling strategy to ensure clear, compelling content outcomes.
• Lead development of copyediting function including fact-checking and terminology accuracy.
• Manage editorial team in collaboration with senior leaders and authors.
• Improve editorial workflows; explore AI-enabled efficiency and quality.
• Promote responsible AI use in line with firm policies.
• Advise authors on language, style, and storytelling effectiveness.
• Lead publishing programs such as the Deloitte Insights video program.
• Stay current on storytelling trends and multichannel publishing innovations.
