Job summary

Deloitte Insights in the United States seeks an executive editor to lead content development, quality control, and value delivery for its business research and thought leadership. You will coach editors, collaborate with researchers, data visualization, design, video, and production teams, and shape content for digital-first audiences.

Reporting to the global editor in chief, you’ll apply AP style, manage stakeholder relationships, advance editorial standards, and champion audience insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience editing business journalism or thought leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or similar.
• Exceptional editing skills and mastery of AP style.
• Excellent writing and oral communication; translate complex concepts.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive team leadership experience and performance management.
• Experience creating multimedia content and video post‑production guidance.
• Proficiency with Word, CMS, Workfront, Teams; Excel/PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel 0–15%.

Responsibilities

• Owning content quality and setting standards for Deloitte Insights content.
• Training editors on quality standards across publishing projects.
• Championing audience needs and ensuring clear, engaging storytelling.
• Leading and developing editorial talent and fact-checking processes.
• Managing editorial teams and guiding collaboration with authors.
• Improving editorial workflows and exploring AI for efficiency.
• Promoting responsible AI use and ensuring human-led final decisions.
• Advising authors on language, style, and storytelling.
• Leading special publishing programs like video editorial standards.
• Staying current on storytelling trends and multichannel publishing.
