The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on editing, coaching editors, managing stakeholders, and guiding multi-format storytelling, from short web copy to long-form research. Collaboration with researchers, designers, and production specialists is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business journalism editing or business insights editing
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications or similar
• Exceptional editing skills and AP style mastery
• Excellent writing and communication; ability to translate complex concepts
• Extensive team leadership and stakeholder management experience
• Experience creating multimedia content including video guidance

Responsibilities

• Owning content quality: set and manage quality standards for Deloitte Insights content
• Train, oversee, and performance-manage editors across projects
• Champion audience understanding and storytelling strategy
• Lead and develop editorial talent with fact-checking and copy optimization
• Manage editorial team collaboration with authors and subject matter experts
• Improve editorial systems and workflows, test new tech/AI solutions
• Champion responsible use of AI in content creation and publication
• Advise authors on language usage, style, and storytelling effectiveness
• Lead special publishing programs, including video program editorial agenda
• Stay updated on storytelling trends and multichannel publishing innovations
