Qualifications

• 10+ years in business journalism or thought leadership editing.
• Bachelor's in English, journalism, or related field.
• Exceptional editing skills;/AP style mastery; ability to explain edits.
• Excellent writing and communication; translate complex concepts clearly.
• Attention to detail with big-picture focus.
• Audience-centric approach to content planning.
• Versatile writing from web copy to long-form reports.
• Extensive leadership and performance-management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Trusted advisor to senior stakeholders; influence editors/authors.
• Experience guiding multimedia content and video guidance.
• Proficient with Word, CMS, Workfront, Teams; Excel/PowerPoint.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Willing to travel 0–15%.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own content quality standards for Deloitte Insights products.
• Train, oversee, and evaluate editors across publishing projects.
• Champion audience needs; craft clear, compelling stories for executives.
• Lead development of editorial talent and fact-check rigor.
• Manage editors; guide collaboration with authors and SMEs.
• Improve editorial workflows; evaluate new tech/AI for quality.
• Promote responsible AI use; ensure human-led final decisions.
• Advise authors on language, style, and storytelling effectiveness.
• Lead special publishing programs and video editorial quality.
• Stay current on storytelling trends and multichannel publishing.
