Job summary

Deloitte Insights in the United States seeks an executive editor to lead content development, quality and value, reporting to the global editor in chief. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on editing, coaching editors, working with researchers, data visualization, design and production teams to deliver a digital-first portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business journalism editing or business insights editing.
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in English literature, journalism, communications, or similar).
• Exceptional editing skills, a mastery of both conversational phrasing and AP style, and the ability to explain edits to authors.

Responsibilities

• Own content quality: set and manage quality standards for Deloitte Insights content.
• Train and oversee editors on the quality standards across publishing projects.
• Act as a storytelling strategist to ensure content is clear, engaging, and high-value.
• Lead the development and management of copyediting focused on accuracy, sourcing, and grammar.
• Manage editorial team collaborations, guiding editors on collaboration with authors.
• Lead process improvements for editorial systems and workflows, including AI integration.
