Job summary
Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Distinguished Scientist, Translational Clinical Biomarkers to lead a Biomarker Center of Excellence. You will supervise PhD/MD scientists and shape end-to-end biomarker strategies for oncology programs from pre-FIH through late-stage trials.

Qualifications
- Experience in clinical trial development and translational biomarker research.
- Strong leadership in matrixed teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven track record in biomedical research and biomarker/diagnostic development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cross-functional translational biomarker efforts across oncology programs.
- Lead a group of PhD-/MD-level scientists embedded in clinical development.
- Formulate testable hypotheses and implement biomarker strategies across trials.
- Collaborate with statisticians, bioinformaticians, and clinicians to develop analysis plans and reports.
- Communicate study plans and outputs to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Interface with external KOLs to expand collaborations and publish findings.
