Job summary

Cohere Life, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director for Jasper in Prescott Valley, AZ. This leadership role oversees community operations, governance, engagement, and financial performance, reporting to developers, residents, and Cohere teams.

You will lead a small team, build trust with stakeholders, and drive the Jasper community vision forward. The position requires strategic decision-making and hands-on execution in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in community-based organizations, nonprofit management, community operations, governance, or related environment.
• 7+ years supervising professional staff.
• Strong knowledge of community association management and HOA governance.
• Experience working with boards of directors and developer partners.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting experience.
• Experience developing strategic management or leadership plans.
• Strong operational judgment balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with volunteers, clubs, committees, or community stakeholders.
• Comfort speaking to groups of various sizes.
• Experience overseeing premier amenities or private club operations is highly desirable.
• Real estate or community development experience is beneficial.
• Experience with municipal government or public agencies is beneficial.
• Background in marketing, communications, or public relations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the on-site team and all aspects of community operations, governance, engagement, communications, amenities, and service delivery.
• Set clear expectations, develop the team, and create systems and structure for strong operation.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the community.
• Lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team when needed.
• Create an environment where residents, members, partners, and team feel welcomed, heard, and valued.
• Work with developer partners and boards to carry out priorities and responsibilities.
• Serve as trusted advisor and central point of contact for key matters.
• Provide updates, reporting, and recommendations to board and developers.
• Partner with marketing teams to ensure community perspective is represented in planning.
• Approach governance through education, collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect.
• Develop and execute strategic plans across operations, engagement, and communications.
• Develop annual budgets and operating plans aligned with priorities and goals.
• Monitor financial and operational performance and adjust as needed.
• Own challenges and drive resolution.
• Maintain standards across operations, amenities, programs, and resident experience.
• Develop meaningful relationships with residents, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen participation and belonging.
• Create community-building initiatives and encourage volunteer involvement.
• Build partnerships with local organizations and civic groups.
