University of Missouri Health Care seeks a seasoned EMS leader to serve as Director of Prehospital Services. This senior role oversees five departments, including ground and air ambulance, pediatric transport, education, and community paramedicine, driving strategy, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has executive-level responsibility for budgets, workforce development, and billing across a large EMS system within an academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health or business related field.
• Master's degree in business or a health-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare environment.
• Paramedic (EMT-P or EMT-CP) licensure by the Missouri DHSS or RN license (MO multi-state).

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains policies and procedures associated with pre-hospital personnel.
• Oversees contracts and clinical agreements for supported areas, ensuring compliance and continuity.
• Coordinates satellite locations to support strategic growth and access to care.
• Manages billing functions and revenue integrity for pre-hospital services.
• Leads staffing models, care delivery, and billing processes to support service development.
