Job summary

Nealy Pierce is recruiting an Executive Director, Emergency Services (RN) to lead emergency care across three hospital campuses with 600+ beds. Onsite Midwest relocation is required, directing a 280 FTE ED/EMS team and reporting to the Market CNO.

The role requires an active RN license, a Master’s degree, and 5+ years in ED leadership, with Level I trauma experience and a track record of improving throughput and building cross-functional relationships.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and Master’s degree required.
• At least five years of ED nursing leadership in acute care.
• Level I trauma emergency experience required; multi-hospital leadership preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and improve ED metrics.
• Visible presence across EDs with strong relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-campus emergency services portfolio including the flagship Level I Trauma Center.
• Set direction for EDs with approximately 125k+ patient visits annually.
• Report directly to Market CNO and work with emergency physicians and inpatient leadership.
• Lead a team of 280 FTEs across EDs, Observation, EMS and Life Flight.
• Mentor a team of five managers with resources for engagement and retention.
