Job summary

Cigna's PBS Engineering Managing Director will own the engineering model and strategic delivery to integrate, modernize, and re-implement capability across the Express Scripts tech ecosystem for the New PBM Platform.

The role is the senior technical owner for systems, engineering practices, and client-transition activities that surround New PBM Platform, translating program direction into an engineering strategy, a multi-year roadmap, and a coordinated delivery model.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 3–5 year engineering strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery approach for New PBM Platform integration.
• Translate priorities into outcomes, sequencing, investment needs, capabilities, and execution plans across the PBS engineering organization.
• Advise executive leadership on strategic direction, major delivery decisions, and readiness for client migration waves.
• Define and own the engineering model including code strategy, environments, pipelines, automation, test approach, and release governance.
• Own the integrated execution of federated workstreams that modernize retained capabilities and build integrations for New PBM Platform.
