Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a PBS Engineering Managing Director to own the engineering model and delivery required to integrate, modernize, and re-implement capability across the Express Scripts ecosystem for the New PBM Platform.

This senior technical owner will lead PBS Engineering, set strategy, governance, and release practices, and ensure migrations occur with clarity, readiness, and minimal client disruption. Collaboration across platforms and executive teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Develop and drive a three- to five-year engineering strategy, roadmap, governance model, and delivery approach for New PBM Platform integration.
• Translate priorities into outcomes, sequencing, investment, capabilities, and execution plans across PBS.
• Advise executive leadership on strategy, major decisions, risk tradeoffs, and migration readiness.
• Synthesize complex information into compelling narratives for executive review and decisions.
• Represent PBS in senior leadership forums with business and technology leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the engineering model including code repositories, environments, pipelines, automation, and release governance.
• Coordinate with Orchestration Hub to align scope, estimates, scheduling, building, testing, and releasing work.
• Raise engineering quality and throughput across teams to a consistent standard.
• Define the done criteria for engineering work, including code quality, test coverage, and production readiness.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering and automation to improve speed and repeatability.
