Job summary

Omni Hotels is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead the Rooms Division, including Front Desk, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Loss Prevention. The role reports to the General Manager and targets balanced financial, guest experience, and associate satisfaction outcomes.

The position requires prior Rooms Division leadership experience, strong forecasting and scheduling skills, and a focus on delivering luxury guest experiences while managing payroll and expenses within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of five years in the Rooms Division at a property of similar size and quality.
• Experience in forecasting, scheduling, daily reviews and analysis of operating results preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written professional communication skills required.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to nurture managers-in-training.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the strategic business leader of the property’s Rooms Operations; areas of responsibility include Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Loss Prevention.
• Oversees Loss Prevention functions to ensure proper completion by Security manager.
• Oversees disciplinary actions for Security personnel in conjunction with Security manager.
• Ensures thorough investigations and reports on incidents involving guests and associates.
• Ensures lobby and common areas are maintained to provide a luxury guest experience.
• Analyzes service issues and identifies trends to drive improvements.
• Shows year-over-year improvement in associate satisfaction and maintains low turnover.
• Controls payroll and direct expenses in line with budget using corporate-wide technology and systems.
• Participates in weekly forecasting and scheduling activities.
• Provides assistance to Director of Finance during annual budget process for the Rooms Division.
• Prepares action plans as directed by management.
• Reviews operating outcomes daily and takes corrective action as required.
• Stays visible and connects with guests to obtain feedback on quality and satisfaction.
• Works with department heads to develop and implement departmental strategies to meet budget, service, and retention goals.
