Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Human Resources to lead the day-to-day HR operations and service delivery. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards while mentoring the HR team to deliver high-quality support across the association.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO) and HR compliance.
• Experience with HRIS, compensation, benefits, and leave programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations and service delivery.

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and workflows.
