Job summary

Blue Castle Agency seeks a Director or Associate Director to provide senior operational oversight for a multi-state multifamily portfolio across the Midwest and Southwest. The role demands hands-on leadership, client-facing responsibility, and a track record of turning around distressed assets.

You will manage a team of Regional Managers, drive portfolio strategy, and represent the company with lenders and clients, traveling as needed to oversee operations and performance.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of multifamily property management experience, including senior/director-level oversight of multiple regions or markets
• Direct experience with properties in receivership and/or REO status
• Comfortable running client relationships at a senior level, including live client calls
• Proven ability to lead and develop Regional Managers, not just review their reports
• Strong financial and operational command across a large, multi-state portfolio
• Familiar with Yardi and RentCafe (Voyager8 experience a strong plus)
• Organized, disciplined operator — meetings run on time, agendas go out, follow-through is real
• Comfortable traveling across a multi-state territory as needed
• Executive presence and strong communication skills, written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Provide senior operational oversight across a multi-state multifamily portfolio
• Supervise, support, and influence a team of Regional Managers across the territory
• Run point on weekly leadership meetings, with agendas prepared and sent out on time
• Sit on every client call as the strategic point of contact and partner
• Take direct oversight of properties in receivership or REO status when they enter the portfolio
• Review portfolio-wide financial performance and hold regions accountable to plan
• Partner with ownership and the Senior Managing Director on portfolio strategy and reporting
• Step into underperforming markets or assets to diagnose issues and drive turnaround
• Represent the company externally with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders as needed
