Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline serving people such as social work, hospital administration, business or public administration, nursing, gerontology or a related field
• Valid Kansas Adult Care Administrator’s license
• CPR certification
• 5+ years supervisory experience in a long-term care facility with knowledge of state/federal regulations, Medicare/Medicaid, OSHA and workers’ compensation
• Knowledge of laws and guidelines for hospital and nursing facility administration

Responsibilities

• Promotes culture change and person-centered care to ensure residents grow and live enriched lives
• Oversees overall financial performance of the facility
• Ensures adherence to facility standards, programs, policies and systems
• Leads QA/PI committee under Board delegation
• Develops and implements a marketing plan to maintain occupancy and financial outcomes
• Communicates residents’ rights; handles complaints and prepares reports
• Participates in governmental facility surveys
• Provides leadership and direction to department managers
• Recruits, trains and leads managers to reflect the facility’s values and drive growth
• Manages workers’ compensation in collaboration with HR and Safety Committee
• Ensures staffing levels meet resident needs
• Maintains regulatory compliance and professional relationships
