Job summary

YMCA of the Chippewa Valley in Chippewa Falls, WI, seeks an Executive Director to lead the branch, inspire a team, and build vital community partnerships. You will guide operations, staff development, and program strategy to respond to local needs and strengthen the Y’s mission.

This role emphasizes inclusive leadership, community engagement, and responsible resource management to ensure a lasting positive impact for members and neighbors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, recreation, human services, or related field or equivalent leadership experience.
• Three+ years of progressively responsible leadership in YMCA, nonprofit, recreation, or similar setting.
• At least one year supervising staff, operating budgets, and managing resources.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and coach department leaders, foster collaboration, accountability, and care.
• Lead planning, strengthen operations, and develop programs meeting community needs.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive member experience and deepen engagement.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and leaders to expand impact.
• Lead branch fundraising and donor engagement with the association office.
• Oversee budgets, track performance, and guide long-term sustainability.
