Job summary

Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center seeks an experienced Juvenile Center Director to provide executive leadership and oversee all administrative and operational aspects of the 24/7 facility. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, fiscal management, and coordinated programming for youth in custody.

The role requires strong leadership, independent judgment, and the ability to respond to emergencies with 24/7 availability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 2 years experience in administration or human services OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years work experience in administration or human services.
• Five (5) years experience working with youths with emotional, social or legal problems.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license if required by operations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the overall administration and operation of the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center.
• Provides executive leadership and establishes organizational priorities, goals, performance expectations, and operational standards for the Center.
• Maintains 24/7 operations readiness and safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management.
• Oversees coordination with Court, Juvenile Probation, law enforcement, service providers and families.
• Ensures records, documentation, reports, policies and training records meet regulatory requirements.
