Job summary

City of New York's Administration for Children’s Services seeks an Administrative Director of RES - 1001B to lead operations for youth detention facilities, staff development, and program delivery. You will drive compliance, safety, and quality of care across multiple divisions.

The role requires a master's degree in social work or related field with substantial administrative experience in child care settings, plus strong collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field with four years in child care/institution settings.
• Five years of full-time professional experience with administrative responsibilities in related fields.
• Two years of administrative experience in a child care setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staffing analyses and schedules across work tours and overtime.
• Coordinate with Executive Director on contracts and renewals.
• Manage detention center performance, training, and evaluations.
• Oversee Housekeeping, painting, and laundry services for youth.
• Coordinate with ACS divisions and Crossroads for improvements.
• Collaborate with Employment Law and HR on disciplinary matters and clearances.
• Liaise with NYC DI, NYS Justice Center, NYS OCFS for oversight.
• Support facility goals, metrics, and special projects.
