Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Executive Director to lead second-line oversight for Business Banking Insurance risk, governance, and monitoring. You will set expectations, design monitoring routines, and drive credible challenge across senior stakeholders.

This senior role requires executive presence, strong judgment, and the ability to translate complex risk topics into actionable processes with cross-functional partners across Legal, Compliance, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of governance, oversight, controls, compliance, risk management experience in financial services
• Proven ability to build or lead governance/oversight frameworks and monitoring programs
• Senior individual contributor with influence across large, matrixed organizations
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive credible challenge across complex initiatives
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and setting expectations across boundaries
• Strong executive communication (written, verbal, presentation)
• Analytical skills to assess risk themes, root causes, and control effectiveness
• Sound judgment and professionalism in dynamic environments
• Experience in governance routines, escalation and issue governance
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Lead second-line oversight for Business Banking Insurance activities across products, distribution, servicing operations, and customer outcomes
• Oversee carrier relationships and third-party arrangements with proper risk governance
• Design and maintain risk indicators and monitoring routines for forward-looking visibility
• Establish reporting frameworks, escalation criteria, and governance forums
• Drive issue-management from identification to remediation governance
• Advance governance capabilities to support growth and evolving risk profiles
• Set risk expectations for emerging products and fraud initiatives
• Provide credible challenge and independent perspective on complex initiatives
• Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Controls
• Represent Risk in governance forums, regulatory engagements, audits, and reviews
• Translate risk concepts into pragmatic, scalable actions for senior audiences
