Job summary

Siskiyou Opportunity Center in Northern California seeks an Executive Director to lead a 60+ staff nonprofit serving adults with IDD across Siskiyou and Shasta Counties. The ED will implement board policy, oversee programs, and represent the organization to funders, partners, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, budgeting, risk management, and staff oversight experience in nonprofit settings, plus excellent communication and a commitment to inclusion and lifelong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in behavioral sciences, special education, public administration, or business/finance is highly desirable.
• Extensive leadership experience including supervising staff and budgeting.
• Strong oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Experience managing a nonprofit organization and familiarity with the IDD community.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Executive Director to implement board policy decisions and oversee all programs and services.
• Represent the organization to the public, funders, policy makers, and partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with the IDD community and relevant government agencies.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture and actively participate in daily activities to boost morale.
