Job summary

Association Acumen is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead two large medical organizations with strategic oversight, strong culture, and a collaborative team. The role requires exceptional communication and the ability to translate ideas into actionable initiatives that benefit members.

The Executive Director will work with volunteer boards, manage education, conferences, sponsorships, and communications while driving sustainable revenue and ensuring excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of senior management experience in non-profit organizations.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; CAE preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory skills, and adaptability.
• Strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and oversee operations per bylaws and strategic plan.
• Coordinate elections and ensure leadership pipeline with the Board.
• Oversee budgeting, finance, and revenue generation opportunities.
• Manage member services, outreach, and international membership.
• Lead conference, meetings, and continuing education initiatives.
• Procure sponsorships and manage exhibitor relations.
• Lead communications, marketing, and website content; report metrics.
• Maintain database accuracy and support member records.
• Travel 3-4 weeks; lift up to 50 pounds.
