Job summary

STRIVE seeks a dynamic, strategic Executive Director to launch and grow STRIVE Houston in Texas. This role leads program delivery, fundraising, operations, and community partnerships, reporting to the National Program team and collaborating with local stakeholders.

The successful candidate will build a diverse team, oversee a multi-year budget, and drive STRIVE’s mission to provide pathways to middle-skill jobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 7–10 years of relevant nonprofit leadership experience.
• Experience building donor relationships and securing funding.
• Strong ability to manage diverse stakeholders and donors.
• Inclusive leadership style and knowledge of Houston’s community.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy and local donor engagement partnered with national team.
• Oversee program development, budget, and operational compliance.
• Build STRIVE Houston partnerships with employers, colleges, and service providers.
• Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing local team.
• Represent STRIVE in regional meetings and media opportunities.
