Job summary

Thrive Colorado is seeking a Development Director to shape fundraising, grant strategy, and donor stewardship, leveraging a Denver network to invite foundations and leaders into the mission. The role balances strategic vision with hands-on relationship-building in a faith-based nonprofit.

The ideal candidate will guide development plans, grow major gifts, and oversee grant editors, using Salesforce for pipelines and metrics.

Qualifications

• Christian faith-aligned leadership with experience in nonprofit development.
• Proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and donor stewardship.
• Strong network across Front Range foundations, banks and community leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident public speaking.
• Detail-oriented with experience managing pipelines and Salesforce records.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and lead annual development plans to diversify funding.
• Cultivate relationships with major donors and philanthropic leaders.
• Communicate Thrive’s mission and theology of work to diverse audiences.
• Lead grant writing, submission, and reporting for ongoing funding.
• Oversee donor lifecycle and forecasting using Salesforce.
