Salary: $105,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities

The Executive Director in Hospice supervises all aspects of patient care, professional staff activities, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and quality assurance activities. The director or an alternate must be available on-site during business hours and as needed beyond those hours.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid issues.
• Be immediately available or have an alternate designee on-site during business hours and reachable by phone after hours.
• Oversee daily operations, including the Care Management Process, review of patient care documentation, referrals, recertifications, discharges, and event reporting.
• Review monthly financial results to ensure quality patient care is delivered cost-effectively.
• Participate in QAPI planning, reporting, and improvement activities, including audits, patient satisfaction, financials, contracts, and complaint follow-up.

Education and Experience

License Requirements:

• Must be a licensed physician, registered nurse, social worker, or a college graduate with at least three (3) years of relevant experience and one (1) year in a hospice or healthcare setting.
• Three (3) years of healthcare leadership preferred.
• Current CPR certification if providing field services.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
